There seems to be some confusion about the real state of our economy. This induced inability to comprehend the reality which we are all living every day has a lot to do with the efforts of politicians to seek to blame each other for the state of affairs, rather than looking objectively at its causes and finding appropriate solutions. A big part of this deliberate obfuscation (confuffling) has come about because the Leader of the PNM seems to have a real phobia for using even the word "recession" now that he is in the other place. But, that was not so when he was on the hustings seeking to occupy this new position "opposite". Well here's a Before & After for you. Before September 7 2015....Before being PM ...... And After........Well, Central Bank Governor, Rambarran dared to speak the 'R' word.
The PM and the Finance Minister were appalled....how dare he!?!? We need proof from the CSO.. ...We can't depend on information from the Central Bank!!! Never mind I Dr. K. C. Global recession is going to hit worldwide and it will be worse this time. The oil price has been dropped o badly and it will directly affect the value of the currency.
