The Trinidad Carnival:
Not Just Carnival in Trinidad
This book is about the phenomenon proclaimed the Greatest Show on Earth - The Trinidad Carnival. Through 3 essays written between 1976 and 2006 by the Author, as part of a collective or as an individual which form part of his analysis of the history, development and future of the Trinidad Carnival.  The defence of The Trinidad Carnival demands that its history be understood and preserved and the unique and indigenous qualities of the Kamboulay root of The Carnival must be preserved. The preservation of The Trinidad Carnival is part of the resistance to the indistinguishable culture that denies national character that is called ‘world’ culture or global culture that threatens national identity in the service of a world resembling the old order at the time of the Emancipation.

The Future of Mas
Children of the Carnival

A series of picture books, featuring photographs taken by the author during the Children's Carnival events at the Trinidad Carnivals over the last decade.
This first volume - Images from the Children's Carnival 2006 - features the children of the Princess Elizabeth Centre  who have made their own indelible mark as part of the Future of Mas.
This publication is now available and will be followed by other volumes recording the artistry and exuberance of the next generation of our mas men and women.

Through them, the wonder of the unique Trinidad Carnival is in good hands.

'Connecting With Our Land' is more than a journal about a hike around the island of Trinidad undertaken by five high school students at the end of their final exams.
It reflects on how this journey became a rite of passage for these young men, transitioning from the world of youthful concerns to the adult responsibilities of making their contributions in various fields in their chosen career paths.
It also reflects on how the monumental events of 1970 left its mark on them pointing them in the direction of social responsibility to their nation and people.

Coming Soon.
